IF Wedding Fashion İzmir Runways to Set Fashion Trends
The IF Wedding Fashion İzmir, one of Europe's largest fashion fairs, is steering the fashion world with runway shows featuring bold designs that will set the trends for 2024. The first day of the fair featured vibrant fashion shows, including appearances by famous models such as Özge Ulusoy, Demet Şener, Sema Şimşek, Begüm Özbek, İpek Tenolcay, Deniz Pulaş, Ceylan Saner, and Ece Gürsel.
The 17th IF Wedding Fashion İzmir - Bridal, Groom, and Evening Wear Fair opened its doors, hosted by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized by İZFAŞ in partnership with the Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association. The fair featured 228 participants from 11 Turkish cities and seven countries, showcasing evening wear, bridal gowns, groom suits, accessories, and children's clothing. The event is expected to host thousands of local professional visitors and nearly 5,000 foreign visitors from various countries.
Numerous fashion shows are held throughout the fair. On the first day, IF Wedding Fashion İzmir transformed into a fashion spectacle with runway shows featuring elegant designs. Designs that will influence 2024 fashion made their debut at the fair. The designs, including stunning bridal gowns, groom suits, and evening wear, were showcased in a specially designed runway area at Fuarizmir for industry professionals.
The first day featured five fashion shows. The opening ceremony included the 14th Bridal Gown Design Competition, which helps young designers enter the industry, and the winners were announced. In the competition with the theme "Flow," designs from 15 finalists were presented on the runway. Sercan İzci won first place, Aslıhan Yıldırım secured second, and Mehmet Melih Sevinç took third. The day included shows from Quesste, Ümit Collection, İğne İplik Moda, and Relactive, while Rojbey's designs were showcased at the Gala Fashion Show. Famous names like Özge Ulusoy, Demet Şener, Ece Gürsel, Simge Ünal, and Ebru Öztürk walked the runway.
The Gala Fashion Show also featured iconic models from the 90s. These successful models, alongside the new generation, elegantly presented designs by Rojbey's Murat Cinpir. The show highlighted black designs, with models like Deniz Pulaş, Begüm Özbek, Zeliha Çal, İpek Tenolcay, Ceylan Saner, Sema Şimşek, Demet Şener, Özge Ulusoy, Ece Gürsel, Alona Kral, and Açelya Kartal receiving standing ovations.
Canan Karaosmanoğlu Alıcı, General Manager of İZFAŞ, attended the shows and conversed with the successful models. Alıcı stated, "IF Wedding Fashion İzmir has opened its doors for the 17th time and will continue for four days. It is Europe's largest fashion fair and fashion show, and we are proud to host it in Izmir. Being on this runway with our country's notable models was wonderful. Our fashion shows add great color to our fair, and we thank all our companies and partners. The most important firms in the industry participate in our fair, and we also held a wonderful Bridal Gown Design Competition with the Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association, with a performance show on the third day of the fair. We invite everyone to attend."
The models expressed their satisfaction with being in Izmir and at IF Wedding Fashion İzmir, saying, "Being in Izmir and on this runway is fantastic. IF Wedding Fashion İzmir has been synonymous with stability for 17 years. It is something Turkey should applaud. The organization, companies, and choreographers were excellent. It was a great collection and a great show. Being part of such a team is wonderful; we thank everyone. Everything was beautiful. This suits Izmir well."
The IF Wedding Fashion İzmir show program includes the following: Miss Lioness at 12:00, World of The Fashion at 13:30, In Couture at 17:00, Wedding Style at 19:30 on Wednesday, November 22, and Mix Brand Fashion Show at 13:00, Cinderella at 14:00, Ozzo Kids at 15:00, Alamo at 16:00, and Enes Yolcu Performance Show at 17:00 on Thursday, November 23.
