Hatice Gökçe

Born in 1973, Hatice Gökçe graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and founded her own design studio in 1998. Hatice Gökçe, who is one of the leading names that come to mind when it comes to menswear in Türkiye, started her career by receiving the Best Menswear Design Award in 1998 and won the Unique Design award in 1999 in a design competition held in Japan. The designer, who is a founding member of the Fashion Designers Association, was the design coordinator of the social responsibility project “Argande” supported by the United Nations from 2008 to 2019. Gökçe presented his designs to a wide audience first in Beijing and then in Shanghai with The Leather Age project, which he introduced at İstanbul Modern. In September 2015, Gökçe exhibited his project at Milan Fashion Week and took part in the first project of İstanbul Modern's Craft, Design, Art Platform. In his self-titled menswear brand, she embraces experimental work and creates designs with innovative fabrics. Through her podcast, Moda Persona, she shares her findings, thoughts and observations that reveal not the visible but the invisible faces of fashion. The designer brings to life the harmony of simple and elegant luxury by combining comfort and detail, richness and depth with her designs that bear traces of the harmony of nature and the claims of technology. Hatice Gökçe is one of the leading names in the Turkish fashion world with her special interest in texture, investigative spirit and alternative designs.
