13th WEDDING DRESS DESIGN COMPETITION

COMPETITION THEME: “MODAVERSE”

Like many things in the world, fashion is changing dimensions. Fashion is creating its own universe, and design is becoming the driving force of digital transformation in fashion. Are you ready to embrace the new wave of the industry? “Modaverse” offers designers a platform where they can freely showcase their talents. We are preparing to meet the designs of the new era that carry traces of traditional fashion in Modaverse, which bridges the past and the future.

COMPETITION TOPIC AND PURPOSE

In collaboration with İzmir Fair Services, Culture, and Art Affairs Trade Inc. (İZFAŞ) and the Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association (EGSD), the “Wedding Dress Design Competition” will be held as part of the IF Wedding Fashion İzmir 2023 Fair events. The “Wedding Dress Design Competition” is a design competition organized to bring young designers into the wedding dress sector in Turkey and to give momentum to the industry. Young designers will have the opportunity to gain experience during the costume sewing process and to hold a fashion show of the evening and wedding costumes they will sew for one year.

Among the purposes of the mentioned competition are:

  • Strengthening the industry with new designs,
  • Revealing and encouraging original designs that can create fashion and trends in international markets within the industry,
  • Increasing the competitive power of the industry,
  • Helping to strengthen the innovative and original designer identity in the wedding dress sector.
